There’s also another big Chanel flap released - the Chanel Surpique Carryall bag or tote. It’s really huge but even though it seems bigger than the body of the model (as seen in the photo), I’m actually liking it…

Of course if you have been reading this site for quite some time now, you’ll know that Fashion Juice is a lover of big bags. I have always been inclined to bigger bags. And it doesn’t stop from there. I love big watches too - as in the “boyfriend” (oversized) watches. I love big sunglasses. I love high (big) heels. And what’s more, I also love big cars. I enjoyed driving F150 trucks and Expeditions. Haha. Yup, probably it’s the boyish side of me… That’s why I love this Chanel Surpique Carryall bag even though it seems to be pretty big.

This Chanel Surpique bag is a carry-all tote that’s so perfect for everything. The size allows you to carry this bag during the day. But at the same time, because this Chanel bag is a mixture of the flap bag, the reissue, and the camera bag, you can still bring it at night. If you’re simply going on a dinner, going to the movies, or going to a casual bar, you can still carry this bag. Just don’t bring it at a cocktail or formal party of course because it is rather big.

Well, just thought of sharing this $2,650 bag from Chanel. I’m really loving the Chanel Surpique carryall bag. But again, as I don’t have all the moolah in this world, perhaps this can wait after the tons of must-have bags in my list. Haha. Dream on!  Watch out though! Keep visiting All Stylish!

I know I’ve already talked about the latest Chanel bags for Spring and Summer 2009. But that was just the pre-collection. Here are the latest bags for Chanel’s Spring and Summer collection…

The first bag is a white bowler bag which I absolutely find better than the old Cambon bowler.  But again, being that it is white in color, I have to pass on this one.

I am loving this Chanel bag below. This is like a recreation of the jumbo or large flap bag with a mix of portobello style without the bag in a bag feature. I say if you want a small/medium-sized flap but also want the style for an everyday bag, get this one for your everyday and the classic Chanel flap for your night outs.

This is not your usual Chanel classic flap. This classic flap bag takes a different twist with a hand painted color of pink and white. If you’d ask me, I’m pretty scared about the paint… color transfers? Oh no. Hopefully not.

Oh the gorgeous white extra large flap bag… I am loving it. But again, even if white is actually my favorite color, I am afraid to buy such a delicate and expensive bag coz I might ruin it! Pretty scary if you’d ask me. I don’t want to say goodbye to three thousand dollars!

Another everyday black bag from Chanel is this one. I’ts pretty simple so I think I’ll just have to pass. It’s not my style.

This shopping bag among the rest of the shopping bags Chanel is releasing this season is quite intriguing. I mean, I haven’t seen it in real life, but, do I really want to buy a Chanel shopping bag? I don’t know. I’m not so much into this bag. First of all, it mimics a shopping bag which is kinda weird coz I don’t want to be carrying a shopping bag if it’s from Chanel - I want a handbag… unless… I have loads of money that I can afford this Chanel bag - to really use as a shopping bag, aside from another handbag that I carry. Second, I don’t want the big screaming letters out there. It’s like announcing to the world that I am carrying a Chanel, especially now that we are in a recession.

This is a big no for me. I may be bold in some of my choices but this is not one of them. However, I know some celebrities who can pull it off. After all, I dont have extra moolah to buy such statement bags. I can only go for the basic and classic ones for now.

This denim Chanel bag is on the border of me liking and not liking it. For one, I love that it’s denim - a great everyday bag - shopping bag - spring bag - summer bag - and it’s not leather (for those who are conscious about excessive use of animal products). But the thing is, if I’m an ordinary person who doesn’t know the seasonal bags from Chanel other than their classics and I see a lady carrying this in the mall, I might actually think it’s not an authentic Chanel. Pardon me but I guess I need to see this first in real life before I make any conclusions.

Another fabulous fabric tote with sequins is this Chanel shopping tote. Again, if I have the extra money, I’ll buy this. Hehe. It’s a great bag to bring with anytime anywhere. You can go from shopping to dinner to watching movies with your friends. It can also be a great mom bag - enough room to put your kids stuff.

Another white Chanel bag… Like I said, I’m scared of my fave color when it comes to big and expensive bags. I just have to say that an everyday bag shouldn’t be high maintenance. A black, brown, or dark color will do for this style… but again, it’s too simple for me. It’s not my style.

Another cute clutch. Again, if I have the extra cash, I would consider it because of that extra coin purse. But other than that, I still prefer the classic Chanel clutch.

Another one of the Chanel shopping bags… This one reminds me of perfume/jewelry shopping bags…

This one is a classic small shopping bag… like when you buy a shirt or a short dress or undies. Hehe

A classic flap bag with hand painted design… A bit edgy/rock glamour-ish take on the classic flap bag - I say yes to this if again I have loads of moolah to spend.

A different take on the classic flap. This one is two toned - which I am loving… BUT… a big NO to the shape! The moment I first saw this, I immediately thought of wine bags. If it were made into a square like the Chanel Grand Shopping Tote (GST), a wider rectangle like the Petite Shopping Tote (PST), or like the Chanel Portobello tote shape, I would have probably added this bag to my list of wants. But if it is this small, I’d have to pass for now.

The Portobello tote is one of the big bags of Chanel that I love. For their Spring/Summer 2009 Pre-Collection, they made the Portobello tote in contrasting materials. The inner bag is made of tweed while the outer is made up of smooth calfskin. This is one of the popular Chanel bags in Hollywood. Celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Rachel Bilson have this super cool bag. It’s the bag within a bag. The previous Portobello tote has leather on leather like what Rachel Bilson owns. I am loving this handbag as an everyday bag, but with the price of $2,950… geeesh? Who says this should be an everyday bag? Well, just take a look at the new Chanel Portobell tote for the 2009 Spring/Summer Pre-Collection.

I have been getting a lot of Neiman Marcus catalogs lately and I’m actually not treating them as junk mail but as a fashion bible. Why? They contain VALUABLE information. Well, from time to time, they feature the Chanel bags along with the prices. They carry the label so they are selling them too. Today I’d like to feature the Ultra soft studded lambskin flap bag and its price. It has an interlaced chain strap with the Chanel logo in resin pearls. Want to learn more? If there’s anything that Chanel is known for, it would be #1 the interlocking C (of course)… but of course that’s not all… #2 chain link straps (for bags); #3 pearls; #4 the color of black and white; and of course #5 the camellias. Now I know those are a lot and what’s great about this edgy Chanel bag I just featured is that it has all those Chanel icons except for the camellias of course that we usually see in their sandals and costume jewelry. So what is the price of this bag? It’s only $2,095. Okay before you get mad - I know $2,095 is a lot! I mean - A LOT!!! But for a flap bag? It may not be the quilted classic Chanel bag that is a must for Bagaholics like me, but if you are looking for something that will stand out at a price that won’t reach $3000++ then this is a good option. It’s cheaper than the Chanel Medallion that I got plus it has that coveted chain strap!

In fact, it will perfectly match those edgy outfits (that I am loving these days). Imagine black blazers, vests, or cropped black leather jackets plus skinny jeans - be it the denim color, black, or white pants, plus some punk open toe booties = CHIC HAUTE LOOK! I am just screaming with delight at the thought of it. Haha. Well, it will also go with the liquid leggings or any other leggings. You can even use the new white blazers with it. It’s a great night out bag - perfect for going to the clubs or the bars - or even dining out with family or friends.

I say if you have other Chanel classic flap bags to get - like a red, purple, navy, beige, white, or gray, and if you have other black Chanel bags like the GST, PST, Medallion among other styles, then go for it. But if you have a limited budget and you know you won’t be buying a lot of Chanel bags, then I say stick to the Classic Chanel Flap!  Well, it’s just my opinion. Just make sure to think twice before getting or ditching this Chanel Ultra Soft Studded Flap Bag considering the factors like color, use, your bags at hand, and the biggest factor - the price.

Here are the latest gorgeous bags from Chanel Spring 2009. They now have the red extra large flap bag! I’m pretty sure it will magically disappear in an instant - hello? Red Chanel bags are very rare and very in demand! Too bad I can’t buy it for two reasons - (1) no spare moolah for that bag, and (2) I’ve taken a pledge to be a vegetarian and avoid buying leather (except for my 5 must have bags, hehe). Chanel loyalists start skimming your grocery money because you are going to want to get your hands on one of these limited edition croc bags from Chanel’s Paris Biarritz line. The line is inspired by the world-famous holiday resort on the Basque coast of south-west France where Coco Chanel opened her boutique in 1915. The Kaiser designed the line for the Parisian jet set who loves the resort in addition to paying homage to the original jet setting mademoiselle, Coco Chanel. The croc totes are available in three sizes, the small one is too tiny to be of much use and the large is so big my husband and I can use it as a sleeping bag so I suggest the medium size. Prices are in the 5 figures so you’ll have to decide what is more important, this year’s tuition for your child’s private school or this limited edition shot of fabulousness.

This is what $45,000 will buy you… you can always sleep in it and write it off as loging expense when you travel!

I am not as crazy about the Paris Biarritz collection of hobos and shopper totes in coated canvas (available in black, silver or gold with contrasting grosgrain canvas trim). They’re expensive and look like camera bags (as my friend’s daughter and husband so eloquently put it when she brought one home in gold) I’m not surprised they’re sold out though, people will buy just about anything if you stick a Chanel logo on it. As for me, I’ll pass thanks.

Two months ago, Chanel unveiled a new line of handbags and accessories called Chanel Unlimited. The Kaiser created glossy grey canvas bags imprinted with the words “Paris”, “31, rue Cambon” (Coco Chanel’s apartment address), “Coco” and “Chanel”.

The canvas is coated to make it highly resistant against weather and long-lasting. The attraction for you may be in the details - invisible zip fastenings, interior pockets, leather reinforcements, and handy snap hooks so that you can find your keys in a second.

The bags are ultra-lightweight, making it a far cry from the expensive leather bags that do weigh one down, and I don’t just mean financially.

There are clutches, hobos, mini and maxi purse bags, large garment bags in the range; which is more suited to city use and traveling. Compared to the classic quilted leather purses Chanel is famous for, this bag veers greatly to the casual side.
