Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall/Winter 2009 Bag Names And Prices

June 20th, 2009

Here are the men’s bags that would be released for next season, Fall/Winter 2009 inspired by “the traveling wardrobe of an African king” as quoted by Vuitton Studio Director Paul Helbers. The collection consists of the Monogram Hexagone, Monogram Revelation, Monogram Escapade and Monogram Macassar. Please be reminded that the prices are subject to change.

I personally like the Monogram Revelation Keepall ever since I saw it carried down the runway show, but too bad it costs a fortune. Its a really stunning bag though…

Monogram Hexagone
This collection reinvents the Monogram canvas as the bags are intricately quilted with the soccer ball/football pattern. It also features black leather straps and handles.

Monogram Revelation
Luxurious leather is embossed revealing the LV monogram and pattern. One word: STUNNING.

Monogram Revelation 45 Bandoulière

Monogram Escapade
Based on the photo, I guess that the Escapade is made from lurex. The shimmer of the material is gorgeous. This is also the most affordable piece from the men’s Fall 2009 collection.

Monogram Escapade Cabas
Estimated Price: $710

Monogram Macassar
Named after a village in northeastern Mozambique, this collection features classic Monogram bags but it’s handles and straps are made from black leather instead of vachetta. Macassar is said to be added into Vuitton’s permament collection. Also included is the Bass PM, $845 (not pictured).

Updates: Louis Vuitton Graffiti & Rose Collection

May 30th, 2009

WWD confirms the comeback of the Stephen Sprouse’s Graffiti Collection along with another Sprouse creation, the Rose as Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton pays homage to Sprouse who passed away last 2004.The Graffiti collection was first introduced in 2001 and was sold like hotcakes, many have missed out on it and now that they’re back, it’s worth rejoicing. In this new collection, Marc “Jacobs took two iconic Sprouse motifs — the graffiti and the rose — and interpreted them in Day-Glo shades of pink, green and orange over the Monogram print. The motifs are featured on Vuitton’s Keepall, Speedy and Neverfull bag styles, as well as basketball sneaker boots, pumps, sunglasses, headbands and wristbands, and small leather goods like wallets and coin purses. The rtw includes a mackintosh raincoat with a graffiti and monogram lining, graffiti leggings and a long-sleeve neon minidress featuring the rose design.” Marc Jacobs states that the collection will not be called reissues as he had done things that are similar or new which differs the “new collection” from Stephen’s Graffiti from 2001.

“I tried to take what Stephen had done at Vuitton and then kind of flip it in my head, and make it Vuitton’s work for Stephen, not Stephen’s work for Vuitton,” Jacobs said. “I just felt it was a funny way to play with it, to pretend to be Sprouse for a bit, and use the work that he did, and then bring it back to the work that he did before I collaborated with him.” - Marc Jacobs

“For me, this monogram graffiti was the first milestone of our permanent reinvention of our history. The thing that excited us the most is that somebody who disappeared years ago is going to be the center of life worldwide thanks to that for the next few months, we really want to celebrate a friend.” - Yves Carcelle, CEO Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton’s new Graffiti and Rose Collection will be available in Louis Vuitton stores worldwide on January 9, 2009. May 8th, 2009

As a tribute to New York artist Stephen Sprouse, who collaborated with Marc Jacobs on Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2001 show, this dope Graffiti Sneaker Boot in Monogram Canvas and Leather Patchwork inspired by the 1980s streetwear is hot, really really hot!

This sneaker is made from a patchwork of leather and Monogram Graffiti canvas that reads graffiti LOUIS VUITTON PARIS on its exposed areas. It also features velcro straps in metallic calf leather that acts as the shoe’s fastening, a black Louis Vuitton rubber label at the tongue, a removable anatomic insock, and a glowing green rubber sole embossed with the Louis Vuitton signature in Graffiti. Preview Magazine May 2009: Ruffa Gutierrez

May 8th, 2009

Preview is my favorite Philippine fashion magazine. I love them so much more now. Ha! So anyway, I just saw the cover of the May issue with Ruffa Guttierez is on the cover along with a Louis Vuitton Monogram Graffiti Speedy and Keepall in Orange, and the LOUIS and VUITTON Graffiti Bracelet. Ruffa looked expressionless, but the Graffitis brought in some spunk and attitude to the cover.

Preview Magazine’s May 2009 issue serves up a dose of high-octane fashion featuring actress and TV host Ruffa Gutierrez in Louis Vuitton’s Stephen Sprouse Tribute Collection. “In a throwback to the 80s fitness craze, this beauty issue has cover girl Ruffa Guttierez decked out in updated dancer-cise gear with Louis Vuitton’s Graffiti Collection putting neon in full-throttle. Let’s just say the look is a far cry from those Jane Fonda aerobics tapes. After all, when it comes to Ruffa, things are always high on the “Fabulosity” meter.”

Snaps of the editorial after the jump…

They should have used the photo on the left as the cover.
